Chrysler Voyager should be one of the most famous names in the world of small minivans. The 2022 Chrysler Voyager model is as powerful as before but targeted only at the shipping market and not the general public. With an affordable purchase price and a trusted Chrysler Dealership in Clearfield, PA, near Philipsburg, PA, St. Mary’s, PA, DuBois, PA, Punxsutawney, PA, Altoona, PA, and State College, PA, you will not make a mistake here, and, considering the cheaper version of the award-winning 2021 Chrysler Pacifica, you know it has great potential. The 2022 Chrysler Voyager is a capable passenger powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 287 horsepower. However, those searching for a premium family mover should look elsewhere, such as the Toyota Sienna or the Honda Odyssey. The 2022 Chrysler Voyager is a simple beast with few creature amenities, but who needs massaging seats when you’ve got a five-year-old kicking you in the back?
The Voyager is an American car model. Sure, its appearance has changed over the years, but the basic structure has remained unchanged. That is not a bad thing at all, as people in this market enjoy a little acquaintance. There isn’t much to write home about in terms of external characteristics. The Voyager comes standard with automated quad halogen reflector headlights and 17-inch alloy wheels in LX trim.

The primary purpose of a small van is to transport large numbers of people safely and reliably between two points. That’s all. It doesn’t have to look good, and it doesn’t have to be fast. Chrysler is well aware of this and has given Voyager a performance rating that is better described as “embarrassing.” Under the hood is a 287-horsepower V6 living engine that does its best to pull this 4,330-pound sofa around. Although Chrysler did not release official performance statistics – why not bother with a small van – independent tests showed sprint times zero to sixty as low as 7.3 seconds. That is much faster than the 1968 Chevrolet Corvette 327. Power is sent to the front wheels only, slightly lower considering the Toyota Sienna is available on all wheels. It may only be FWD, but the Voyager can still pull 3,600 lbs more than competitors like the Honda Odyssey.

There is no need for complicated powertrains if the purpose of the car is to move people from the casino to the retirement area slowly. For that reason, Chrysler adheres to a naturally tested cylinder. This engine produces 287 hp and 262 lb-ft. As usual with this type of engine, the maximum power is only reached in the sky at 6,400 rpm, and the maximum torque is delivered at 4,000 rpm, which means you will have to put your foot down if you want to see any real progress. Near the city, the Voyager sails without complaint and is a master boatman on the highway; don’t expect more bristling techniques. The nine-speed manual gearbox shifts well enough and does an excellent job of keeping the engine in its high-power band.
